Central Archipelago
Geography
The Central Archipelago comprises two island chains mostly in the southern hemisphere. The main chain is a volcanic island arc spanning approximately 75° latitude from equatorial to subarctic regions. The second chain is a small volcanic hotspot chain to the east of the main chain at approximately 45° S.
