- Immediate/prospective future marker on perfective verbs.
- e.g. bū (to cut) > būsi (to be about to cut)
- Forms imperfective verbs from nouns (mostly fossilized (?); historically protected final stops from elision).
- e.g. omsū (< simu(k); 'knife') > -msuksi (< simuksaj; 'to be cutting')
