From Proto-Central-Archipelagic saj
Suffix
-śi
- Immediate/prospective future marker on perfective verbs.
- e.g. bū (to cut) > būśi (to be about to cut)
- Forms imperfective verbs from nouns (mostly fossilized (?); historically protected final stops from elision).
- e.g. omśū (< simu(k); knife) > -mśukśi (< simuksaj; to be cutting)
